• 1 10" pie crust unbaked
  • 1 cup winter squash, cooked, mashed and sieved
  • 1 cup thick apple sauce
  • 4 eggs beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups thick cream
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon mace
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
Combine ingredients in order given in a large mixing bowl.  Pour into pie crust. Preheat oven to 425°. Bake 20 minutes.  Reduce heat to 350° and bake 20 -25 minutes more.  Pie tests done when knife inserted in center comes out clean.
