Hey everybody!

So holy cow, welcome to March, 60 degrees yesterday and I hear some of you have half a foot of snow this morning.  Well I guess that's March.  Looks like this weekend could  be wonderful again.  We hope so because we'll be at the Good Food Festival and are hoping to meet all sorts of new folks.

Saturday evening is another great night out, this time with entertainment provided by all your local farmers.  Starting at 7pm the farmers from the CSA pavilion at the Good Food Fest will be singing, playing, reciting and modeling for all those attending the 2nd Annual CSA Farmer Talent Show at the Hideout in Chicago. Yes, that means Momma Marcy and I will be there performing as well.

So, on to next week.  Next Tuesday evening we are giving a talk on local food and CSAs at NIU.  If you or anyone you know lives in or around Dekalb and wants to stop by it would be great.  The talk will be at 5pm in the Campus Life Building in the Honors Suite.

Then, next Saturday is Rockford Melt Fest.  Melt Fest is a celebration of Spring finally coming!  There will be complimentary ice skating, free rides on the Rockford Park District trolley, musical performances, and a variety of food and local business booths to peruse.

I almost forgot about tomorrow night.  At 7pm tomorrow night, the 13th, Shared Harvest Coop in Elgin is hosting a viewing of the movie Greenhorns.  Afterwards there will be a panel discussion with local farmers about the film and the topics it brings up.  Of course, we will be on that panel.

Oh, and I almost forgot to let everyone know about the new videos on our YouTube channel.  Check out some farm family members talking about Trogg’s Hollow and local food and CSAs.
