Holy kale, the greenhouse burned down!

Yes, it's true, there was a fire in the greenhouse yesterday.  To be fair only half of it burned down into a plastic pancake along with all the seeding trays and germinating domes and a couple buckets and the watering hose.  For the record, no seedling appeared to be hurt in this conflagration.

We had, just Sunday, put out 3 kinds of kale, and Brussels sprouts to germinate in the warm weather.  These have been moved to temporary shelter inside. None of the family was hurt.  I was working on the tractor when he smelled the fire and ran back to put it out.  Everyone else wasn't even home.

Yes, the fire department came with 5 trucks.  They really thought a house was going up and quick.  (So did I.)  But, I had it out before they got back to it with the help of the neighbor.  The EFD folks were great and said it was probably the electric heater and a malfunction causing the fire.

Today, Marcy and I cleaned up all the burned and melted greenhouse and did the best repair job we could.  It will work fine for starting more kale and everything else tomorrow and this weekend.  Thanks for the concern from those who wrote and thanks for the help from those that did.

Okay bye,

Trogg
