First and foremost, we thought you would like to know that Farmer Trogg is back in action and feeling fine. Thanks everyone who sent their well wishes. And a special, huge thank you to Kevin, Lisabeth, and Lisabeth’s Mom for coming out and lending a hand with some atrocious weeds on Saturday. And you too, Anne, for the help the week before. We REALLY appreciate it and every little bit helps. Second, we have two extra shares. They’re $40 and on a first call/email basis. You can check out our list to see what’s been packed this week. Pick up is at the home farm until 3 or at the Market from 4-8. So if you want in, let us know ASAP. Something you might notice this week is, holy cow, there’s a lot of tomatoes. And when I say a lot, I mean, wow. Tomatoes – 10 different heirloom varieties! So come to the market and buy some. This week we will have sweet corn. I just picked it up from family last night. It is from my aunt and uncle’s farm in Guttenberg, IA, right on the Mississippi. While it is not organic, we are lucky to be able to share this with everyone. Also, this week we have very small amounts of dill, cilantro and cinnamon basil. More in the newsletter! |
