Well, people, it’s almost officially fall. It’s starting to feel that way too. I find myself shocked every night when I realize it’s only 8PM and we’re settled in - that may sounds crazy late, but when we work to maximize all the daylight hours, being done with your day by 8 feels weird.

For the most part, the crops you’ll see for at least another couple of weeks will be summery things, like tomatoes, peppers, summer squash, and cucumbers. But those things are slowing down and we’re getting ready to switch gears again. Market season will start to wind down a little as well - there are only three more Rockford City Market Fridays this summer! So get out and see us while you can, because before you know it, we’ll be a happy sunny memory, at least until Spring.

THIS SATURDAY is the Trogg’s Hollow Autumnal Equinox Event!!! This is the LAST event of the season, so if you’ve been meaning to come out, this is your chance. Festivities start at 5PM, and we’ll have music from Opus Dog, as well as cider pressing and farm tours. And remember, there’s always a potluck starting around 6, so bring your best dish!
