Here we are, the last week of August. And my, but it’s been stormy and hot. Almost like...what’s that called..oh, right, summer! Thanks for the visit, summer. It’s been great. But confusing. We want your heat, but not so much your humidity, and man, that was a lot of rain. It was like a whole season packed into about 10 days. AND NOW IT’S ALMOST SEPTEMBER!

We have lots of fruit news this week. First of all, we do have blueberries. ANYONE who ordered blueberries will be picking them up this week, and you should have gotten an email about that if this is not a normal pick up week for you.

Fruit news part 2, we’re going to  Rendelman Orchards THIS WEEKEND. We have an order form right here for you to place your orders. Please use the order form and don’t email us your order - it’s getting difficult to keep track of everyone and adding your name to the order form keeps things organized and no one gets left off the list.

The heat has been good to us in that it helped some of the summer crops a little. The rain has been a bit much for the tomatoes, but they’re still coming. It has caused nearly 75% of the ripe cherry tomatoes to burst (tomatoes absorb water very quickly), so you’ll see less of those this week.
