7/9/14 Newsletter

It’s news time!

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. We took in a couple parades and as many fireworks as we could.

First of all, we want to thank everyone who helped us out last week. It was a tough few days, and you all pulled together to make things run smoothly. It means alot to us when our community can come together like that - community support is definitely about more than the financial part, and we appreciate that. This week had a bumpy start as well, with Farmer Trogg down with a virus, but he’s improving and we have our field crew out harvesting and weeding.

We’re still open to people coming out to help with weeding and things like that at the Poplar Grove farm. We know it’s a distance for some of you, but you can stay for as little or as long as you like. Tuesday-Friday are the best days, and we’re working from 8-5 (usually). It’s a good way to work on your tan and strengthen arm muscles!

For those of you who have been patiently waiting - peach time is (almost) here!! We’re planning our first trip to Rendleman’s Orchard at the end of the month, and we’ll be getting you the info about prices and pre-ordering soon

And I can’t forget Monkey #2’s new joke! What do you get a chicken for it’s birthday? A first egg kit!!
