Hello! Happy July 25th – only 5 months till Christmas! But seriously. It’s hard to believe July is nearly over. Summer has become a little more co-operative, there’s been a little more rain, and we’re a little happier over here.

The big news of the week is that we do have peaches! We made a successful trip down to Alto Pass and we’ve returned with lots of lovely, delicious fruit. Most of you who pre-ordered have picked up your orders by now, but we will have some for sale at the market for those of you who did not pre-order.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my canning booth at the Elgin market last Thursday. As I write, Trogg is in the kitchen getting some tomatoes ready for canning (like I said, it’s easy to do when you have only a few). We had enough non-sellable ones to make it worth while and it helps to keep on top of things. We’re also planning on canning some beets, since we have quite a few this year.
