First off, welcome to July! Everyone who is getting shares this year has gotten them by now.  We hope everything is wonderful.  Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.  Don’t wait until halfway through the season.

Second, if you haven’t seen on Facebook, Momma Marcy’s grandfather passed away this weekend.  Things are sad around here.  The wake and funeral are this week and she will be with her family through Friday.  Between that and the holiday on Friday this week is turning into a real logistic nightmare.  Thankfully, Westside HOUSE Roots and Shoots has volunteered to come take over market and share duties on Thursday so we can be with the family.  Thank you so much to Elizabeth for getting this together and everyone else for their help.

Boy, the rain sure hasn’t stopped.  That means more and taller weeds, and less machine time - cultivating and mounding potatoes.  So, again we’ll be looking for any extra hands to come on out to the home farm and help pull weeds. If you have time this week or next please think about making a day of it on the farm.  With the holiday we know that a lot of folks are out of town or have plans but any time next Monday through the week, we’ll be here and need extra hands.

Aside from that, the markets at Elgin and Huntley are the same as usual.  Huntley has a Family Fun Fest this week during the market.   The Rockford City Market is off this week due to the holiday but we’ll be there next week from 3 - 8pm.

Oh, and Friday shareholders, please pick up your shares on Thursday at the same time and place due to the holiday on Friday.

Have a happy 4th!
