7/2/13 Newsletter

Hi and Happy July!

We haven’t had rain for, like, 2 days, so I think summer is behaving a little bit. Everything is loving this weather – water and heat make for some very happy crops.

If you would normally pick up a share on Thursday and you are NOT in Elgin, your shares will be dropped off/ready for pick up on Wednesday – that includes Barrington, Berwyn, and Poplar Grove. Those of you picking up in Elgin, your shares will be available at the Elgin Harvest Market from 9 until 12 on Thursday – please pick up during that time.

Those of you scheduled for Friday or Saturday pick up, we will have your shares there on those days so there is no change for you.

Anyone who has signed up for a chicken and egg or honey share, if you normally pick up this week, they will be there for you this week as well. Anyone who has addon shares and picks up next week will be getting their extras next week.

One more item of business, we start at the Rockford City Market this Friday. Come see us! This
market is a big weekly party, so there are many reasons to come check it out.

In other news, for those of you who are in need of a peach fix, we will be taking our first trip down to Rendelman Orchards in Cobden, IL in a few weeks, so get ready.

And finally, we want to thank everyone who looked past the clouds and came out to the Midsommer event on Saturday. It turned out to be a wonderful day and we had a bunch of neat people having a good time.

More in the newsletter.
