Well, July has mostly become more July-ish. How fantastic! It’s been hot and humid and we like that around here. And so do your tomatoes and peppers!

Overall, the crops are doing really well. We’re working hard to plant so that we always have plenty of something - there is a huge variety of plants that like a huge variety of conditions, so if we grow wisely there will always be something absolutely thriving.

And guess what - we’ll have raspberries this week!!! Those of you who ordered them as an add-on, they will start this week. So get ready! Also, we’ll have a limited number to sell in Elgin and at the Rockford and Huntley markets. The raspberries come from Grace Farm Studios in Woodstock and are grown organically by our friends Anne and Mike. (They do a U-Pick in the summer as well, so totally check them out!)

Peach orders are filling up fast! Remember, our first trip will be the first weekend of August. We are taking pre-orders for pecks (about 12.5 lbs), half bushels (about 25 lbs), and bushels (about 50 lbs), of peaches and nectarines in the next few weeks, then we’ll go, pick them up, and bring them back.
