Happy Summer!!! Is it really week 3 of shares already? Time seems to be flying by. Maybe it’s the 90 degree weather. Before we know it, it’ll be tomato time!

The Elgin Harvest Market runs every Thursday from 4-8PM. The Market is in the old library parking lot on Kimball. There’s plenty of parking, and the hours are great, so no excuses.

Forest Park’s Farmers Market is on Friday, starting this week, from 3.30-7.30PM at the Grove on Madison at Van Buren.

The Roselle Main Street Market is on Saturday from 8-12 in front of the American Legion on Maple Street.

Half share people, this is an odd week, so that means you, Wheaton, as well as some of you Elgin folks too. Remember to pick up by 8, and please return your bins.

On an unrelated note, did you know that in Irish mythology, fairies ride on kale stalks instead of horses? I, for one, like the idea that our kale might be used as some sort of fairy mass-transit system.

Kalezones and more in the newsletter.
