5/23/13 Newsletter

Well, the best way to sum up the last week is – PLANTING. We have been planting like crazy, and both the Elgin and Polar Grove fields are really filling in. And thanks to the warm weather and rain, things are not only in but growing at a great pace. It finally feels like we may be getting a handle on this spring thing.

Our first market starts this weekend! We will be at the Huntley Farmer’s Market this Saturday from 8 AM until 1 PM. The market is located on Coral Street between Church and Woodstock Streets every weekend. Come see us! This week we’ll have a little arugula to sell. We’ll be there to talk and sign you up for a CSA share as well, and we’ll have seedlings for sale.

Also, we’re talking with a group about a potential location for a Thursday producer only market in Elgin at the corner of Nesler and Route 20.  How does this location sound to you.  Let us know  and we will let you know when we have more information on that.
