Stupid Smarch@$#@!

Hopefully it will get better once real spring is here.  For now, for us, it’s find new shareholder season.

Right now we are just over half full for shares.  That means we need to get another 35 shares to fulfill our our goal for this year.  In order to meet this goal we have a threefold plan.  The first part is going out and participating in any events supporting local farming and CSAs in the area.  The second is organizing CSA/Local food expos in areas where we already have shareholders.  The third involves you guys.  We need your help to let people know about us and about local food and CSAs.

We have started making soil blocks and seeding.  Soon we’ll have pictures up on Facebook of little artichokes and onions growing.  Egg production from the chickens has been steadily rising over that last month.  This is good news for all of you waiting for fresh TH eggs this summer.  We also have found out that we will be getting two goats in a few weeks.

Finally, for anyone interested, we will be attending a Twitter party this evening.  Julia from Peasant Plot, the Band of Farmers fearless leader, will be posting and answering questions about good local food from 7-8pm.  And, if you click on the link on our front page, you can be entered to win tickets to the Good Food Festival next weekend.  They’ll be raffling tickets off during the Twitter party.  To play along make sure you watch the #GoodFoodChi tag on Twitter tonight.
