First, and foremost, I would like to welcome our new snow-overlords.

We started seeding last week.  The germination chambers went up and Sarah made several hundred seed blocks.

Last week we also made a presentation to the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society of ECC. 

This week we’ll be at the Gail Borden Library in Elgin from 7pm to 8pm.  The library will be hosting a program called March into Health: Spotlight on Local Foods which will discuss how the local food landscape in Elgin is expanding and how gardens, restaurants, markets and a food co-op play a role.  Afterwards you can talk to any of the assembled local food outlets, including us, about what’s going on.
