3/17/15 Newsletter

posted Mar 17, 2015, 11:40 AM by Trogg's Hollow   [ updated Mar 17, 2015, 11:40 AM ]

It would appear the Mother Nature tipped over her bucket of Spring and it’s spilling ALL OVER THE PLACE! But you won’t hear us complaining about this wonderful weather. No sir-ee. The animals seem pretty thrilled about it too, and are emerging to forage and poke around and generally get into trouble.

In vegetable news, we’ve started seeding, and uncovering things from the fall, and coming out of hibernation! It’s all so very exciting. We’ve have turnips and beets in the low tunnels, and we’re hoping for some greens (spinach!) soon as well.

We’ll be attending many many events over the next few weeks, including Shared Harvest Movie Night: Food,  Good Food Fest, Rockford Melt Fest, Farmers' Soup & Bread at the Hideout!, the Band of Farmers 3rd Annual Talent Show (Trogg and I will be dancing. On stage. And I’m pretty sure you need to see that) and the Elgin UUCE Spring Market.

Please let all your family and friends know about our wonderful veggies.  Forward this on or share it with everyone you know.  We need your help to reach our goal of 90 shares next season.  We are halfway to our goal and going into expo season.  If there are any events you can think of that we should attend, or if you want to create an event, please contact us.  Even if you won't be renewing or joining next year please pass it on to someone who would be interested.  For now, here is the link to signing up for 2015.  Clicky!
