12/3/14 Newsletter

posted Dec 3, 2014, 12:04 PM by Trogg's Hollow   [ updated Dec 3, 2014, 12:04 PM ]
Well, we hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving.  It was nice to have a bit of a warm up after the arctic cold we had been experiencing.  That cold sure did a number on our tunnels. All of our beautiful lettuce, arugula, pac choy and mesclun mix were destroyed!  We're hoping that they will come back in the spring.  Our spinach has stopped growing, and it's not even big enough to harvest.  This will definitely be great in the spring.  What we have remaining is our carrots, some kale, green onions maybe some chard and maybe some radishes.

All that being said, we will be at markets this weekend with whatever we can harvest. We will bring whatever veggies we can to all of these events but it's also a great time to sign up for your 2015 CSA Share.

Speaking of 2015 CSA Shares, alas, earlybird pricing has ended, but we are not full yet.  In the coming days I will be sending out an email to all of our farm family members from last year requesting that you take a survey we have put together to help us make the farm better.  All newsletter subscribers will also get an email with Trogg's Hollow propaganda in it to share and post and send where ever you can.  We need your help to reach our goal of 90 shares next season.  Even if you won't be renewing or joining next year please pass it on to someone who would be interested.  For now, here is the link to signing up for 2015.
