Hi all! Well here we sit, smack in the middle of a very snowy and cold December. I was outside this afternoon and was struck by how very quiet it is outside. An occasional meowing cat or quacking duck, but otherwise the multitudes of summer sounds are noticeably absent. Even the guineas are quiet, and those of you who have been here know what a huge deal that is. This is the first week in a long time that there are no shares or markets to think about - now is the time where we settle in for the winter, get some much needed work done around the house and farm, and start planning next year’s crops. The big important news is that there’s one more week left to buy 2014 summer shares at this year’s prices – after next Saturday the 20th, the prices will go up, so jump on while you can! Last year we had a few people give shares as gifts, and it really is a great way to take care of the people you love. And that’s about it. We’ll be taking the next couple of weeks off, so there won’t be another news letter for three weeks. We hope all of you enjoy the holidays in whatever way you like. Stay safe, stay warm. Thanks to all of you for being a part of what we do. More in the newsletter. |
