11/5/14 Newsletter

I hope everyone had a great Halloween.  Lots of candy and all that.  This week’s shares will help you get back on the healthy eating wagon.  All the greens are extra sweet due to the cooler weather and frosts.  In fact, Halloween’s winds pretty much exposed all the crops to some cold weather.  Momma Marcy, all the monkeys and I spent a good part of the day recovering all the tunnels that the 30mph winds blew off.  But now, they are all all more stable then before.  Hurray!

This weekend Christopher is running a 15K in the city so he can’t do the Logan Square Indoor Market.  He’ll be back on the 16th. Momma Marcy and I will be at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Elgin for their Autumn Market.  Hours are from 11:45am to 3pm.  There’s always a great selection.  We know Arnold’s Farm will have their meat there.  And, Sitka Salmon will be there.  Natural Beauty by Margie will be there as will Steven Day with his handmade soaps.  And many more.

I almost said goodbye, but remembered I had to remind everyone to share the link to signup for next year’s shares.  Remember, no payment is due until the first of 2015, but signup before December first and get this year’s pricing.  Here’s the link.  Please spread it around.
