11/28/11 Newsletter

Hello! We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Last week, between family food gatherings and shareholder pickups and the Winter Market, I was able to start on covering the back 1/8 acre with shredded leaves.  I collected the whole block's leaves that they were leaving for the city and, the tractor and I hauled them into the back.  Now we start shredding the leaves everyday and covering more of the soil.

Remember that the 2012 CSA Program is open for sign-up.  As of this morning, we are half full.  That means we have already reached last year's numbers and in less time. We have established pick-ups in Elgin and Roselle.  If you are at all interested a pick-up site in either Wheaton or Berwn/La Grange, please let us know.  We are trying to finalize these sites and need to know exactly how much real interest there is as soon as possible.

Also, come join us at Rockin' in a Winter Wonderland in Downtown Elgin at the Winter Market.  There's a trolley to take you around to all the events and the Market is one of these stops.
