Well, it’s almost here – we’re at the second to last official week. Wow. Our last shares, our last market. It’s a lot of work when it’s happening, but it still seems to fly by.

So yes – second to last official week of shares. That means that full shareholders, after this week you have ONE more share coming. Half share people, for some of you this is your last week, for others it will be next week. As of right now the last official day for shares is still October 17, but if we feel we can extend things, we will let you know.

We have also discussed fall/winter shares, which will start the second week of November. This is a pay-as-you-go system. The shares are $25 a week. We need people to let us know how often then want shares (weekly, or bi-weekly, or just once) and how far into the winter you want to go (just a few weeks, a month, or until we can no longer fill shares). These shares will consist mainly of greens and root crops (carrots, beets, turnips), and possibly winter squash, broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts.

Last week, we had our Roots and Shoots friends out here for another work day. We really appreciate all the time they have put in here helping us with various tasks.

And finally - sign up for next year’s shares! The form is up! This year’s prices are only good until Thanksgiving, so sign up.

And finally, finally, happy 7th birthday to our Monkey number 2 – can’t believe it’s been 7 years with this amazing kiddo!!

More in the newsletter - plus a note from Farmer Trogg.
