We were outside on this windy and wet fall afternoon looking at a potential new-for-us tractor, and I realized that there is nothing I don’t like about Fall. It’s such a great time of year, seriously. Plus, Halloween, which is the best day of all. This fall has been especially lovely, and I’m making an attempt to soak in every second, because before we know it, it’s gonna be cold out there. And, while that can be nice too, winter is winter.

We’re still busy out in the field, getting things in and ready for fall, and tidying things up before it gets nasty out there. We’re hoping things stay nice and snug in our tunnels and we can have some nice fall crops as long as the weather allows. Plus, we’re already scheming and planning for next season.

We will not be at any markets this weekend. Which is weird. But then we’ll be back to it next weekend with not 1, but 3(!!) markets - in Huntley, Elgin, and Logan Square. So we won’t be gone for long. Also, Trogg will be in Elgin as usual on Thursday this week with his wares. So come on by (especially if you have an apple share to collect!).
