Happy October everyone!

So hard to believe it’s October already! Time is flying by. It’s absolutely glorious out right now, and even with the warm days, those cool night are amazing.

First things first, there is some important info for CSA shareholders. So READ THIS NEWSLETTER!

This week is the final week for both the Downtown Elgin Harvest Market (the morning market) on Thursday and the Huntley Market on Saturday. The Elgin Far West Market will still be running in some capacity through October 24th.

Also, by the end of October we will be sending along information regarding fall/winter shares. This will be a pay-as-you-go system, but signing up beforehand is a good idea so we know exactly how much food to have ready.

n other news, we’re still working out in the field, weeding, planting, and harvesting. We’ll be putting our first crop of garlic in soon (yay!!), and we’re seeing nice growth from greens, beans, and beets as the weather cools off.

And finally - sign up for next year’s shares! The form is up! This year’s prices are only good until Thanksgiving, so if you want to save some money and get some groovy vegetables next season, sign up now!!  And please tell your neighbors and friends and family.  We are pretty much all word of mouth.  If you have liked what we do tell folks about us.

More in the newsletter!
